Teddy bears have been a natural gift for a very long time. The name was introduced in the early 1900s as a way to describe Teddy Roosevelt. One day these plush toys were made for children around the world and have ever since been a staple of Americana. In these times, there are numerous reasons to own a teddy bear. They could be for collection, used as toys, or a memento from loved ones. With this article, I hope to outline the top four occasions to receive a teddy bear as a gift.

1) Valentine’s Day
No woman would dare say they don’t want something for Valentine’s Day. And if they do they typically don’t mean it. Most men also want to be appreciated on this day even if their masculine side won’t allow them to admit it. What better way to show your love then a teddy bear! You could particularly choose one with a heart in its hands that says “I love you.”

2) The Carnival or County Fair
It may sound like an odd place to receive a teddy bear but think about it. There are booths all over the place giving out prizes to those able to defeat a specified feat. Whether it’s accurately tossing rings around bottles, displaying a test of strength, or showing off the pitching arm while taking care of a stack of objects, there are plenty of ways to potentially win a prize. And prize could very well be a teddy bear won for that special someone.

3) A Birthday
Even if you don’t have a loved one, a discount teddy bear can be a great gift. Have any young nieces or nephews? Maybe you have kids of your own. One of these toys would be perfect. They’re tough to break, although they may need to be washed every once in a while. The durability of these toys makes them perfect for little ones. Plus they’re just so huggable.

Those are three very good times to receive a teddy bear. I almost ended the list right there. Of course, then I remembered the fourth item of the list:

4) Anytime
Shouldn’t it be obvious? Anytime is a good time to own a discount teddy bear. Who in their right mind wouldn’t want one? They’re collectible, cute and darn right loveable. They truly are perfect for anyone and any occasion. Next time you want to show appreciation for your loved one, go ahead and buy them a teddy bear.
