Christmas for a lot of people means sharing and giving some love. To others it could mean a lot of stress in preparations and shopping for gifts. And still to some, it could mean a much needed rest.

A busy person would most likely be a member of the last category. Because at some point it is perfectly okay to give yourself a gift this Christmas. Never ever forget to reward yourself after all the hard work you have been through.

So whether you have enough budget to splurge for yourself or you have already spent them on presents for everyone else, you are still entitled to some pampering. Check on the list below to see what fits you budget or better yet, what you deserve.

1. You could always try on new spa salons around town. You don’t have t sulk and think that it is a completely useless way of spending money. Remember, the important thing is to make you feel relaxed. So by all means, go on and be a god or goddess for a day. It would not hurt to spend a little cash on a little luxury that you can find in a small room.

2. A trip to some place is something that you should indulge in once in a while especially if you have money to burn. After all, experiencing what a certain town, city or country can offer is worth more than anything. But if cash is really tight, you can always resort to budget travels. A lot of airlines have promotions every now and then. If you stumble upon a flier or advertisement about travels, take that as a sign then. And don’t forget to lug a camera everywhere you go.

3. Women and even some men, love shopping whether on impulse or not. Thus, go on a shopping spree. Just don’t lose yourself. Else, you might max out your credit card. Set aside shopping money and everyday budget money to stay in control. Heck, you can even have them wrapped and place them under your Christmas tree. Now that is what you a call a gift for yourself!

4. Learn something new. Bring out the artist in you. Who knows you could be gifted with some form of talent in martial arts but you just didn’t give it a chance to let it out. You may also opt for culinary if you think that pleasing people’s taste buds is your mission in life. Another fun and a very wise choice is to learn a new language. You can use this as an edge over other people in the business world.

5. Almost all of the things mentioned above could pass for “me time.” But you can always have someone tag along with you. Now this last gift idea for yourself is definitely one for yourself only. Doing this alone does not only develop a sense of independence, you can also reflect along the way. A bonus is that you can learn a lot about yourself! Try making solo dinner reservations at a posh restaurant or even cleaning out your apartment of old stuff. You can recall some forgotten memories along the way.
