If you have small children and your husband is a big time hunter of all the different kinds of game that we have in this country, perhaps stricter age limits should be reinforced to the use of these guns.
I understand that all children need to have adult permission and that they are to be watched by a parent and a licensed and properly certified Instructor before they can operate this gun or rifle, but you could still have accidents with all of these precautions in place. I think that if the gun doesn’t fit in the child’s hand, then they are not old enough to handle this gun. The same thing applies when this child tries to use a rifle. If it does not fit to the length of the arm, then this child is too young for this weapon.
Our riflemen’s groups are on fire to keep our guns and rifles in our hands, which I think is a good thing to have in our homes in case someone wants to hurt us in our own homes by either breaking down our doors or trying to rob us. We really need to try to find ways to protect our young from getting hurt or killed because of letting these underage children try to shoot weapons that aren’t right for them in the first place.
Some of the accidents that will happen aren’t any one person’s fault, but we do find that some people shouldn’t have been given the guns in the first place. If you have guns in your home, you really need to have them under lock and key, and this pertains to anything that has to do with the weapons, like cleaning supplies, shells, and the gun clips. To keep these out of the wrong hands, you might want to keep your guns in lockers that are monitored in a location other than your home or to keep the key to your gun cabinet in your wallet or pocket. If you have an older gun cabinet that has glass in the front, you might want to go and buy one that is made of metal and isn’t easy to break into.
We really need to make our young children understand the meaning of using a gun and when it is necessary, and that these guns should be used only for the purpose of killing the food that your family might be eating for dinner that night or some night to come.
