Bodybuilding steroids are class III scheduled drugs. These steroids cannot be accessed from your regular registered medical practitioners as they are bound by law to the effect that it is illegal for them to prescribe them. The only way to access bodybuilding steroids is from the streets or via the Internet. There are two types of bodybuilding steroids; veterinary steroids and human steroids. A number of steroid enthusiasts use both types. The effect of both types of steroids on muscle development is similar. To mention but a few of each, human steroids include sustanon, durabolin, anavar, anadrol, sten and testosterone. A few of the veterinary varieties include laurabolin, desposterona, norandren 200 and equipoise.

Images of muscled and well toned athletes are part and parcel of our daily lives. The fact of the matter is that each and everyone has the desire to look great and feel healthy. This is well and good only if we can restrain ourselves and commit to strict regular training and to eat healthy.

Those of us who take great interest in bodybuilding are definitely inspired and motivated by the muscular bodied athletes on whose images don bodybuilding magazines, websites and advertisements. Which aspiring bodybuilder would not want a body like Ron Coleman’s or Dorian Bates’? Who would not want to be crowned Mr. Olympia? Perhaps the biggest attraction to bodybuilding nowadays is the WWE as in World Wrestling Entertainment.

This is the stage where the likes of Triple H, John Cena and Shawn Michaels reign supreme. Fans globally are captivated by their muscular frames and tons of strength. These shows have seen a proliferation in the number of young people who are looking forward to a career in bodybuilding. Sadly though, many of them are often ill advised and they meet premature career endings or even death. The most probable culprit in many of these cases is bodybuilding steroids.

The consumption of bodybuilding steroids is a commonplace phenomenon. Lots of aspiring bodybuilders find it difficult to hold on to the intense training regimens that are required for the sculpting of their muscles. They are in too much of a rush to get big bodies and muscles. This has driven many to the use of steroids. It is definitely a quick shortcut to the top; it requires quite a long time to train and adhere to dietary regimens to achieve the same results.

Steroids assist athletes by providing their bodies with lots of extra energy and power. Athletes are therefore able to train for longer periods and also to lift heavier weights. As such the muscles develop more quickly than is naturally possible. The effects of the steroids are clearly visible when you see athletes experiencing rapid muscle growth and increase in body size. Steroids may seem to be okay at first but prolonged use comes with a heavy price to pay by the users. Steroids have been known to lead to physical and mental deterioration. Athletes should be forewarned before they take the highway to early retirement or death.
